Microlon 1010
This resin matrix bonded coating provides the
optimum combination of wear resistance, low coefficient of friction, and excellent
nonstick (AKA "release"). Microlon 1010 is
unaffected by or resistant to most chemicals and corrosive agents. It has an operating
temperature to 500oF (260oC) continuous and 600oF (315oC)
intermittent.Microlon 1010 is an excellent
lubricant and can withstand loads up to 50,000 psi. For this reason it has been
successfully used in the automotive industry on pistons, rocker arms, wrist pins and other
bearing surface applications. It may be used to prevent scoring and galling, or provide
secondary lubrication due to the failure of the primary (conventional) lubricant.
Additionally, Microlon 1010 has good abrasion
resistance and therefore, may be used to solve varying problems from release to friction
reduction.
