GERNAC multi-layer alloy is an
electrodeposition which produces the formation of an inhomogeneous alloy consisting of
lamellae of different layer compositions. For example, one layer is deposited laterally
while the other is deposited and aligned vertically. Each layer is uniform in thickness
and provides different qualities. The layers are synergistically combined to form a
superlattice structure which is stronger, more wear resistant and more corrosive resistant
than each of its' parts.
